First things first

Writer's picture: Jamie KlusacekJamie Klusacek

The first thing we see the leper do in the first miracle recorded in the first book of the Bible (granted as far as scholars go it's believe Matthew is not writing in chronological order)—is WORSHIP.

"Worship" (4352) here in the Greek is derived from a word in Greek that means to kiss like a dog licking a masters hand; to prostrate oneself in homage.

AND, this specific word for worship is only used in reference to worshipping God.

Our posture in God's presence is important—we leave pride at the door and we choose to acknowledge who Jesus is.

Challenge: Are we approaching God and giving Him the reverence His Lordship deserves?
