Here comes dream day. Don't blow by this blog. I believe dreaming and creating with God coupled with asking Him is a recipe for the miraculous in our lives. I include God on the dreams within my heart. I ask Him to restore the tough areas in which I need healing or restoration. I ask others to stand beside me in the joys and victories and valley's of life.
This is your chance to dream and to ask.
So what is it that if you could ask God anything you would ask Him right now in this moment? John 14:14 "If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it," Jesus said. What is that thing?
It could mean believing Him for a financial miracle.
It could mean asking Jesus for those God-breathed desires in your heart to come to pass.
It may mean asking for forgiveness in someone’s life that you’ve wronged.
It may mean asking to pitch that ground-breaking idea to your company.
It may mean asking for that loved one to come to know Jesus.
It may mean admitting you aren’t good at something and asking for help.
It may mean asking trusted, Jesus-loving friends to join you in your journey.
It may mean asking for a lower price on that land God has placed in your heart.
It may mean asking God to break that bondage or addiction you, or a loved one has held on to for far too long.
It may mean writing a letter to a spiritual mentor, asking them to meet you for coffee.
It may mean asking God to blow your reasoning out of the water, to enlarge your thinking and to start asking on a whole new level.
Most of the people Jesus healed in the New Testament came as a result of the courage to ask. The blind men. The lepers. The mute. The paralyzed. The demon-possessed. The woman with the issue of blood. They saw a need in their lives and they asked Jesus to meet that need.
When they asked, Jesus came through with the miraculous. Imagine if they saw their illness, but kept it hidden, secretly telling themselves they would be okay. “I’ll just learn to live with it,” they’d tell themselves. If they lived this way, they would have never received the miracle they so desperately needed. They could have survived, but they would have lived a less-than-fulfilling life.
My friend, God wants you to live a life full to the brim. In joy. In peace. In faith. In wholeness. In trust.
God has the right people waiting to meet the need you have. In fact, some of the miracles Jesus performed in the New Testament were a direct result of people’s friends bringing them to the feet of Jesus for a miracle. He wants to work in miraculous ways in your life. It’s time to cultivate the courage to ask.
"Ask Him in private. As He directs, ask others. Bring your empty jars to the feet of Jesus and watch Him fill them to overflowing. My prayer for you is that He cultivates within you the courage to ask."
