In miracle one in Matthew, Jesus touches an unclean man He wasn't supposed to and heals Him.
Now, in miracle two, Jesus is approached by a Roman Centurion soldier who is I might add, a GENTILE.
Now if you've done ANY studies on Jews and Gentiles you would know that it was against Jewish custom (not law) to associate with Gentiles partly because they were not a part of God's chosen people.
Yet Jesus disregards the custom of the day and allows this man to come—and He hears his request.
It doesn't matter what your background is or ethnicity. It doesn't matter what you've done wrong in the past or the marks against your character that others may have.
At the feet of Jesus, there's equal ground. And He wants us to come to Him.
I'm praying that God opens your eyes to see this week that there is NO BARRIER that can keep us from the love of Christ.
