The Happily Ever After Moments

In the end, Naaman had the courage to heal.

And THANK GOD for the friendships in his life. Those who loved him enough to urge him

towards his healing. Those who literally stood in the path that took him away from his miracle

and left him no choice but to walk toward obedience. Those who calmed his anger and spoke reassurance to his heart. Those who cherished him as family. Those are the amiable friendships you need in your life.

Can I be that kind of friend to you at this moment?

Stop being angry at God for what He’s asked you to do and the situations He has brought your way. Just do what He has asked. You’re too valuable, my friend, for me to allow you to walk away from a miracle, just because the journey doesn’t match your expectations.

In the end, the courage to heal was a process. It was laying down his expectations, in order to take up God’s divine direction. It was humbling himself to do the act that he deemed unworthy. It was following God’s direction to the letter and washing in the water of the Jordan seven times.

Again and again and again he washed, until on the seventh time Naaman came up unexplainably healed.

And here’s the part I LOVE about this story.

The Bible says in 2 Kings 5:14 that “Naaman went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, according to the command of the man of God. Then his skin was restored and became like the skin of a small boy, and he was clean.”

The Bible doesn’t say how old Naaman was when he received his healing, but I’d like to think he had significant years under his belt. Here, God not only cleansed and restored him, but his skin became like the skin of a small boy.

Naaman could have gotten fancy clothes to hide his ailment. He could have gotten the greatest doctors to try and treat his ailment. But when God stepped in, He not only healed Naaman, but He restored the years that were lost. He made his skin like that of a little boy!

This is the way God works. God will always do above and beyond what you could hope or dream if you have the courage to obey Him.

Do you have the courage to walk the way He wants you to walk in order to get where He wants you to go? Do you have the courage to heal and walk in the wholeness that only God can give?

"May 2023 be a year marked with courage that only God can give."

I would love to hear your story and what God is doing in your life. Drop me an email and tell me about the miracles He has done and what you are believing God for this year.
