Turn to the Bible

In our journey to have the courage to obey we need to ask God for discernment to hear His voice. Let me assure you today that God wants you to hear Him clearly. He is not playing a hide and seek game with your life. His voice is not happenstance. It is clear, direct and easily accessible to you. Go to where He is, sit there, wait and allow Him to speak daily.
Open up your Bible.
God speaks through His Word. This is always my go-to when I'm looking for direction from Him. God is the pure representation of integrity and truth, which means He’s never going to ask me to do something that goes against His Word, the Bible. He will also speak to you through His Word.
Many times I’m journeying through experiences in life that are new to me. I am walking down roads I have never traveled before. I could be in a season of over-the-top blessing that is blowing my mind. Or I could be walking down a road where I am asking God for specific wisdom. I’ll open my Bible, start reading for the day, and more often than not I will read a passage that speaks wisdom and clarity to me on the exact thing I am asking Him for direction on.
God’s Word is full of promises and wisdom for you, my friend. The more we read it, listen to it, and meditate on it, the more it will take root deep in our spirits.
God’s word transforms us from the inside out. In Romans 12:2 the Bible even tells us to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” I use God’s Word to help me align my desires and actions with His heart and to bring clarity to my direction.
He won’t ask me, for instance, to lie to my neighbor, dishonor my coworker, cheat on my spouse, or steal something from the grocery store. Those things go against what He has already spoken in His word.
If what I think He is speaking lines up with who God is and what He’s spoken in the Bible, then that’s a signal to me that it could be God. Standing on His word has, and always will be, the main way I can run in confidence and obedience on the road before me.
"Direction is at your fingertips. Hope is your constant companion. Purpose is weaved into the core of your being. God's voice is a part of your day to day. Open up your Bible and receive."
